The Friends of Lents held a rally last night to protest against the ballpark going in their area. I'm appreciative of many of them voicing their opinions, but it does seem like many of them are speaking from bad information or fear of change. One of the members of the Friends of Lents even did a study about triple AAA Baseball and the economic impact based on data from the new park in Las Vegas, and determined that the impact would be negligible.
We are all waiting for Dan Saltzman to voice his thoughts over the idea, and I'll post something as soon as we hear from him. Apparently, John Canzano from the O knows the decision, and expects Dan to make his announcement very soon.
